Why Gold Rates Change Every Day

Gold prices in India are influenced by international gold prices, the US dollar-rupee exchange rate, domestic demand, import-related costs and local market premiums. Jewellery prices can be higher than bullion rates because making charges, wastage and GST are added to the final invoice.

22K vs 24K Gold

24K gold represents very high-purity gold and is commonly used for bullion, bars and coins.

22K gold contains approximately 91.6% gold and is widely used for jewellery in India.

When buying jewellery, consumers should check the BIS hallmark, purity marking and HUID details.

Gold Rate Today: Important Note for Buyers

Gold rates may change during the day. Online bullion/reference rates should not be treated as the final jewellery-shop price. The final invoice may include making charges, wastage and GST.

Disclaimer: The rates mentioned above are indicative/reference market rates. Actual jewellery prices may vary according to city, jeweller, purity, making charges, taxes and the time of purchase.
