New Delhi, September 25, 2026: Indian equity markets ended higher on Friday after the sharp decline seen in the previous session. The Nifty 50 closed at 23,140.50, while the Sensex gained 315.20 points to finish at 73,895.74. Bank Nifty also ended higher at 55,580.40, up 141.90 points.

The Nifty 50 touched an intraday high of 23,162.70, while the Sensex climbed to 73,968.05 during the session. Buying interest in banking and selected heavyweight stocks helped the benchmark indices close in positive territory.
