New Delhi, October 8, 2026: Silver prices are showing noticeable differences across Indian cities and retail markets today. According to the latest available benchmark data, silver is around ₹223.94 per gram or ₹2,23,935 per kilogram in India. However, state-wise retail quotations are considerably higher in several markets. 

The difference between various published rates is mainly due to different market timings, benchmarks, purity levels and retail pricing methodologies.

Silver Price Today, October 8, 2026

The latest India-wide benchmark from Livemint puts silver at approximately ₹2,239.35 per 10 grams, ₹22,393.50 per 100 grams and ₹2,23,935 per kg. The rate was marginally higher than the previous update. 

Meanwhile, state-wise retail data shows Delhi at around ₹2,51,900 per kg, while Ahmedabad is around ₹2,63,900 per kg. 

State-Wise Silver Rate in India Today

The available state-wise data shows Gujarat and Kerala among the highest major state markets at ₹2,63,900 per kg, while West Bengal, Karnataka and Punjab are around ₹2,46,900 per kg. Telangana is around ₹2,60,900 per kg.

Silver Rate in Delhi Today

India Today reports the New Delhi silver price at approximately ₹2,51,900 per kg, ₹25,190 per 100 grams, ₹2,519 per 10 grams and ₹252 per gram on October 8. The rate was unchanged from the previous day. 

Silver Prices in Major Indian Cities

Business Today reported a benchmark silver price of around ₹2,24,130 per kg for Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Chennai on October 8. This is a benchmark figure and differs from some retail state-wise quotations. 

Silver Price Trend Today

Silver showed a modest rise in the latest benchmark update. Livemint reported silver at ₹2,23,935 per kg, compared with ₹2,23,826 in the previous update, a rise of ₹109. 

Domestic spot silver had closed at around ₹2,20,500 per kg on October 7, according to a Moneycontrol report published on October 8.

What Buyers Should Check

The published silver rate is not necessarily the final retail price. GST, making charges, dealer margins and purity can change the amount paid by the customer. Buyers should check the purity, weight, GST and making charges on the invoice before purchasing silver.
