New Delhi, September 16, 2026: Silver prices in India are showing differences across states and cities today. According to the latest available state-wise commodity data, silver prices across several major Indian states are around ₹2.57 lakh to ₹2.69 lakh per kg. Gujarat and Kerala are listed at around ₹2,68,900 per kg, while West Bengal, Punjab and Karnataka are around ₹2,56,900 per kg in the cited state-wise data.

Global silver prices were also active on September 16. Reuters reported spot silver at around $64.60 per ounce, with precious metals trading amid expectations surrounding the US Federal Reserve's policy decision.

Why Do Silver Prices Differ Across States?

Silver prices can vary between markets because of international silver prices, currency movements, industrial demand, domestic demand, import costs and local market conditions.

On September 16, silver also saw strong movement in the domestic futures market. Economic Times reported a rise of around ₹4,000 per kg in MCX silver during Wednesday's trading session.
