New Delhi, September 21, 2026: Silver prices in India continued to show differences across cities and local bullion markets on Monday. According to Goodreturns, the national silver rate today is around ₹250 per gram or ₹2,50,000 per kg. However, city-level bullion rates can be significantly different.

For example, India Today lists silver at around ₹2,78,900 per kg in Ahmedabad, ₹2,71,900 in Delhi, ₹2,70,900 in Mumbai, ₹2,66,900 in Bengaluru and ₹2,72,900 in Chennai on September 21.

Current city-level sources confirm rates such as ₹2,59,900/kg in Visakhapatnam, ₹2,55,000/kg in Chandigarh, ₹2,44,000/kg in Bhopal and ₹2,60,000/kg in Agartala.

Silver Prices in Major Indian Cities

According to the latest city data, Ahmedabad is around ₹2,78,900/kg, Bengaluru ₹2,66,900/kg, Chennai ₹2,72,900/kg, Delhi ₹2,71,900/kg, Hyderabad ₹2,75,900/kg, Jaipur ₹2,72,900/kg, Kolkata ₹2,66,900/kg and Mumbai/Pune around ₹2,70,900/kg.

Why Do Silver Rates Differ Across States?

Silver prices are influenced by international bullion prices, currency movements, domestic demand and supply, taxes, local bullion-market conditions and dealer margins. As a result, the physical silver rate can differ from one city to another.

The futures market can also show a different price from physical silver. On September 21, December silver futures were reported around ₹2,39,850 per kg during trading, illustrating the difference between futures and physical-market quotations.

Check whether the silver is 999/999.9 purity.
Compare the 10 gram, 100 gram and 1 kg rates.
Check GST separately.
Silver jewellery may include making charges.
